No Trespassing?

Wolkenburg castle

Two days ago I had an epiphany. I realized that for the last weeks I had been falling back into my old behavior of being an observer instead of an doer. Since I've decided at the beginning of the year that I want to live an active life, I wasn't exactly amused by this observation (pun intended).

So when I got an e-mail by my club yesterday morning, asking for last minute help with todays big scale event in Dresden, I jumped at the chance. During this event I will not only be the event photographer but also teach the attendees (from some CCIs and business promoting organizations) about Lomography and creativity (hence todays picture).

Lomography was my restart in photography, without my Lomo Fisheye camera there wouldn't be this blog or San's Visual Art. Lomography to me means sheer creativity.

What means creativity to you?

Gewandgäßchen at night

I am currently pondering the postcard sets that I want to get printed by MOO and I've decided there's going be a Leipzig at Night postcard set. This is one of the pictures I might use, cause I really like it.

Next week I have two event photography gigs and the week after that I'm going on a trip to the Black Forest. Wohoo. After that I have a three day event on which I'm going to photograph for the Kreatives Leipzig club. More on it next week.

On the Spring cleaning of my pantry, I'm making progress. I've finished off one sort of tea and thrown out a lot of the old spices. But I haven't bought anything new so far, which means the spice rack is finally looking orderly again. I love it.

Enjoy your Friday.

Dreaming of open waters in the sun

It's Friday, Folks, and since this weekend will be fantastic weather in Leipzig, it's time for life's simple pleasures.

A stroll in one or all of the lovely parks, a bike ride around the Markkleeberger See (preferably without falling of the bike, which I did yesterday), cooking and enjoying great food, reading on a park bench in the sun, drawing on a park bench in the sun, pondering life on a park bench in the sun, going to a crafts market and meeting with friends there. Doing all this alone or with good friends.

Enjoy your Fridays and weekends.

Suspension Bridge from a different point of view

I just found out that there is the possibility of becoming a shareholder to a cinema-gallery-bar in Leipzig. I just love the thought of it. I love movies and I want to exhibit my lomography, soooo....

And the risk is relatively low....

The light and the Tree - for a new and fabulous week

Good morning everyone. A new week has begun, let's make the best of it. I certainly will, especially now that the move  of my company is finished. Last week was really taxing, to say the least. Now in our new office it will be much better. (Especially since I can sleep longer now. I only need 20 minutes with my bike to get to the office. (Bliss ;-)

Engineers Photographic Playground - Series 1 - Finally available in my Shop

Great news*: I finally have decided which pictures I will sell on my shop in what way. It's this very series. Because it is unusual and shows off my approach to photography in general and lomography in particular. What do you think? The right choice?

Enjoy your Sunday, I certainly do (sitting in my local Starbucks and sipping Café Latte).

*at least from my point of view. It took me four months to decide upon the pics. Gee, sometimes I just think to much.

Back on the track

Yesterday I've been to my first Iyengar yoga class and surprisingly I liked it (had plain Hatha yoga a few years back and I disliked it very much). So next Tuesday evening I'm back and train my poor muscles. I will do some of the stuff at home too. Because the stretching feels just too good to not do it.

A bit of green since it's summer brown outside

Another Wolkenburg picture. Did I mention that I love green?!

Now, now, you can congratulate me, cause I have finally figured out to have more space for the pictures. Took me only 1 and 1/2 year to figure it out. Yep, I'm Speedy Gonzalez.
