Karlsruhe in Fall
Oh, I love these small garden houses. I don't know what they were originally for, but I'd love to have artists studio in one of them. The light and the view would be ideal.
In other news; I'm still alive, I still work in my fantastic engineering job, I attended another drawing class and I finally did set up my drawing table. Now all I have to do is to actually draw. ;-) Well, maybe tonight I will.

I'm currently flat-hunting in Karlsruhe and after viewing one of the possible flats I saw this wonderful mural. Isn't it absolutely fantastic?!

Gewandgäßchen at night
I am currently pondering the postcard sets that I want to get printed by MOO and I've decided there's going be a Leipzig at Night postcard set. This is one of the pictures I might use, cause I really like it.
Next week I have two event photography gigs and the week after that I'm going on a trip to the Black Forest. Wohoo. After that I have a three day event on which I'm going to photograph for the Kreatives Leipzig club. More on it next week.
On the Spring cleaning of my pantry, I'm making progress. I've finished off one sort of tea and thrown out a lot of the old spices. But I haven't bought anything new so far, which means the spice rack is finally looking orderly again. I love it.

Oceaneum Architecture
So, how was your weekend? Did you enjoy it?
I certainly did enjoy mine. I broadened my horizons in more than one area. I also started rearranging my life with rearranging furniture in my apartment. I'm back on track when it comes to eating as my body wishes. There are even more exciting news lining up, but I won't count my chickens before they hatch.

Classic Entrance and a little of mood shopping
This is the formidable entrance to the church of the little Saxonian town Wolkenburg.
Yesterday I had a really frustrating day, so to boost my mood I went to my local artists supply and got myself a nice little gift. A COPIC Multiliner 0.1 and a square sketchbook.
I have been lusting after this kind of pen for 2 years now. I've had come across them for the first time in my Manga phase. Then last year I've had them in my shopping basket time and again, and time and again I put them back on the shelf. Yesterday was the big day. It took me a while to decide the size, but I think 0.1 is just perfect for me at this moment, I can buy smaller later on.
The sketchbook was due to the fact that I want to do a certain project and for this I need a square sketchbook with real bookbinding. All my other sketchbooks are ring bound and not squares. I admit I have a crush on square paper. DIN A sizes are just too normal and remind me to much of writing paper. By now I have as much square paper pads as I have DIN A papers. And I really prefer to draw on squares.
And I prefer paper that is not brilliant white. Drawing paper for schoolkids is always this extreme white. No wonder I never liked arts class at school. The brilliant white of copypaper hurts the eyes, well, my eyes at least. And copy paper or school drawing paper is lacking structure. Seriously, it's no fun at all.
But I've got tons of funstuff now, so I'm going to use it.

For the 3rd post I chose the salt refinery in Bad Dürrenberg. I didn't know it until I went there with Chris and we've had such fun. Photographing, listening to the story of the refinery and just enjoying this very day.

Happy Memories For Chris and moi: 2nd post - Vertigo inducing Windows
Since Chris asked me to post a few more Leipzig photos this week because she is so homesick for Leipzig, I created this post series for her. I hope this comforts you a bit.
For the second post I chose our night photography tour. It was such fun and I learned a lot about my cameras. For these shots I wished I had a tilting display or any display at all on my F90. But I didn't so I had to contort my body into a really uncomfortable position to get these long exposure shots, for which I used a tripod.

Outside
Have you ever had such days on which you can't fully wake up, but neither sleep to get rid of the tiredness? Yesterday was such a day for me. Even though I've been out and about, I couldn't shake off the tiredness or take a refreshing nap.
Today is much better and I will use it to finally cross off a lot of items from to-do-list.
One thing was good yesterday, I realized that the changes I made at the of 2011 are starting to really make a positive difference in my life.
For example I finally started to write down what I spend everyday, again (I did so in university but through the past years I didn't). Which means I now know exactly where my money went. I stopped shopping groceries with my Dad, which lead to less spending and less leftover food. I've become a conscious spender, which means I think before I buy something, does it take me nearer to my goals or further away.
Being a conscious spender has made probably the biggest impact, that and the fact that I now know my goals. It's quite funny, goals make everything easier.
And because those changes are finally getting a grip and speeding me up towards my goals, it was yesterday for the first time that I actually had the feeling that I will reach this years goals. Which feels fantastic!!
